For our twenty-ninth release we welcome Swedish producer Johan Ekman to the Resonate family. Although this is Johan’s first Resonate appearance he is certainly no newcomer to the Trance scene, having racked up quality releases on the likes of Discover and Future sound of Egypt. His Resonate debut is an energetic double header in the form of Next Lane and Shine Expectum.

Next Lane is up first and Ekman has hit the sweet spot with his blend of ingredients. The heavenly pads and uplifting melodies in the breakdown which are sure to create many special moments are cleverly offset by a combination of evil stabs, pumping basslines and energetic percussion to create what we can only describe as an absolutely perfect club orientated track.

The second track in this release is the superb Shine Expectum. Again, we are treated to Ekman’s warm, clean production and musical prowess however, rather than the stabbing approach of Next Lane, the focus this time is building from the smooth pads and piano breakdown and kicking off in full throttle with a powerful uplifting riff. The results are stunning and the amount of energy created is off the scale.

Be sure not to miss this fantastic release on Resonate. We have no doubt that we will be hearing a lot more from this talented producer in the coming months.
